Why does everyone keep collaborating with Chris Brown???

By: Bella Carbone I often find myself having to remove beloved songs of my past from my pre-feminist era from my Spotify playlists to save myself from the embarrassment of listening to those voices now and cringing at myself for ever supporting such problematic people. Every now and then when I hear the beginning couple of seconds of “Put It Down” by Brandy ft Chris Brown, I indulge in a couple of enjoyable, safe moments before I skip the song so as not to listen to the voice of an abuser. Yet, as a feminist who wants to support and hear out victims, I find it hard to listen to the music of an abuser or assaulter. If the roles were reversed I could not imagine how I could live each day with a flood of people constantly supporting, loving, and uplifting my abuser/assaulter all while r...

"Not for Real Feminism Purposes"

By: Serena Turner     Logically, I know it is not productive or helpful to argue about which type of feminism is the best one or the real one when the true goal of our feminism is to create a world free of all forms of oppression, discrimination, and injustice. Even knowing that, I do have times when I hear a person call themselves a feminist and it makes me feel some kind of way. I get defensive over the word at times because I feel like those people don’t know the real feminism. They don’t understand that to be truly feminist means to be an active agent against all forces and systems of injustice. They haven’t read the works of bell hooks, Audre Lorde, KimberlĂ© Crenshaw, adrienne marie brown, and had their lives forever changed by their words. For me, feminism completely turned my life around. It introduced me to people who understood how I had always felt but had never been able to express. I was saved by feminism because, without it, I still wouldn’t know my wor...

About Us

Hi everyone! It's Bella and Serena y'all!! We started Little Miss Opinionated: a Radical Feminist Blog because we wanted a place for our voices to be heard and taken seriously. As opinionated and radical feminists, we have many concerns and issues with the oppressive systems that influence every aspect of our society. This blog is where we can share all of those thoughts and feelings while encouraging each other to never give up the fight for freedom. We believe true liberation can only come through intersectional activism that leaves no individual or group behind. We fight against racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, capitalism, and neoliberalism simultaneously. We welcome anyone who agrees with our radical and progressive opinions to enjoy our blog and join our fight!
